Brittany Katz
Brittany Katz owns Terra Running Company and Cleveland Coffee & Market- two businesses that she makes sure serves the community, whether through partnering with nonprofits through local fundraising races, or highlighting local artists by selling their goods in the coffee shop. Everything she does puts the community first.
Katz was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she ran cross country and track in high school and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Duquesne University in 2010. She then moved to Atlanta to earn her Master's of Arts in Teaching in Middle Grades at Emory University, an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University. She taught middle school in Fulton County, Georgia for four years before becoming a small business owner.
Since becoming a business owner of two successful local businesses, Katz has made a name for herself through the work she’s done with her companies and the help she has given to countless small businesses. A program she helped devise called The Small Biz Give is a philanthropy project that donates proceeds from her businesses and promotes a different Cleveland nonprofit every month. Since the beginning, the project has donated thousands of dollars to several local nonprofits. This type of giving has landed Katz in the Cleveland Daily Banner's 20 under 40 in 2020. She has won third place in the Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union's Small Business Pitch Competition in 2019 and Terra Running Company was named one of the top 50 running stores in the country that same year.
Katz loves her sidekick of nine years, her dog Rocky, and considers her parents, sister, brother-in-law and baby niece Adalyn her biggest supporters.
