Tayler Davis Student Leadership

Tayler Davis

Everyone in the town of Decatur knows Tayler Davis. Her work ethic, servant mindset and positive attitude are an inspiration to those around her. She has held a variety of leadership positions in her high school that have allowed her to participate in several community service projects including cleaning yards for the elderly, picking up trash after football games, and raising funds to provide needy children with Christmas gifts each year. She volunteers with the local Boys and Girls Club, and serves her church by going on mission trips and working Vacation Bible School each year. She takes the time to go out to eat with a group of seniors at her church each Sunday after day services and after evening services, she serves as a mentor to young girls taking them out for ice cream or a snack. Because of the time and attention Tayler has poured into their lives, these girls look up to her as a role model, and she fulfills that position in a way that makes others take notice.

Tayler is always challenging herself and has earned a spot in the top 10 percent of her graduating class taking rigorous coursework, including 22 hours of dual enrollment classes. She has plans to attend Cleveland State Community College in the fall. She has chosen Spanish Education as a major with plans to teach Spanish at the high school level. Tayler is the daughter of James and Jamie Davis of Decatur.
